- Series and drain
- The catalog distinguishes M4D external drain, M4SD severe duty external drain and internal-drain suffix variants.
- Displacement code
- Use the volumetric displacement column; the three-digit code is not the actual displacement.
- Shaft
- Keep the keyed or splined shaft designation.
- Rotation and porting
- N is bidirectional in this example. Port function depends on direction, viewed from the shaft end.
- Design, seal and connections
- Record the design letter, seal class and complete port-connection option.
Include every suffix when requesting a quote.

- Confirm the exact internal or external drain variant and circuit arrangement.
- Mounting and shaft

- Keep inlet/outlet direction and the drain connection clear.
- Typical performance
- Page 6 states 2,000 rpm, 175 bar differential pressure and 24 cSt for the typical performance table; these are not universal operating limits.
